After studying fine arts and graphic arts in Montreal and working as a graphic artist and illustrator for many years, Annabelle Marquis decided in 2006 to devote herself to her true passion.

She now unveils her refreshing work, full of self assurance, vivid and bright, where structure and harmony are both inspiration and outcome. Using mainly acrylic paint and collage techniques, she turns a canvas into a detailed story that one reads more than observes, recreating movement regardless of pace or rhythm, while invigorated by the warmth of her colors.

It's then up to viewer to offer his or her own variation to make the tale complete.

Her works have been exhibited in Montreal, New York, Miami, Hong Kong, Singapore as well as in Europe (France, Italy, Holland, Spain, Romania), where she has won several awards. They are also part of several private collections. They are permanently exhibited in galleries across Canada.
